This piece is nearly finished and reflects the colours and images
photographed looking at the railway line through a wire mesh fence.
The "lollipop" shapes are stylized trees and vegetation on the
embankment; the bars of green and orange in the blue are my footsteps
as I walk my dog alongside the track-sometimes happy, sometimes not;
the quilted crossing lines are about trips taken by train from
Leamington to Birmingham and Solihull, and the little caterpillar
tracks on the other sections of rail are other peoples journeys as they
flash past, crossing through my life. NB The greenish silk used for
the tracks are offcuts from the costumes of Sadlers Wells Ballet
production of an Indian poem - The Maharabatta. £280
